Accademia di Italiano is an exam center accredited by the Università per Stranieri di Perugia. We also prepare students for the CILS certification (Università per Stranieri di Siena) and PLIDA (Società Dante Alighieri) and accompany them to the official exam sessions.
Official Italian certifications follow the CEFR, the Common European Framework of Reference (A1 to C2), and are recognized in Italy and across the European Union. A B2 opens admission to Italian universities and state scholarships; a B1 meets most of the requirements for applying for Italian citizenship; an A2 meets the requirements for applying for the long-term residence permit.
CELI - Università per Stranieri di Perugia
CELI ("Certificato di Conoscenza della Lingua Italiana") is the official certification of the Università per Stranieri di Perugia. You prepare with us and sit the exam at our Milan location. Five exam versions: standard CELI (A1-C2), CELI for teenagers, CELI Impatto for immigrants, CELI 1 for immigrants, CELI 2 for immigrants. Exam fee: EUR 220, paid directly when you register for the session.

CILS - Università per Stranieri di Siena
CILS ("Certificazione di Italiano come Lingua Straniera") is the official certification of the Università per Stranieri di Siena. We prepare you at every CILS level and accompany you to the official exam session. Dedicated modules for children, teenagers, migrants and citizenship applicants.
PLIDA - Società Dante Alighieri
PLIDA ("Progetto Lingua Italiana Dante Alighieri") is the certification of the Società Dante Alighieri, recognized by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Accepted for university admission, work permits and citizenship. We prepare you at our campuses.
Preparation course - choose the type
One-to-one preparation: 5 lessons of 90 minutes with a CELI-specialised tutor. A personalised plan based on your level and exam date. EUR 440.
Group preparation: 5 lessons of 120 minutes in a small group (6-15 students). One lesson a week, fixed schedule. EUR 180.

Which certification should you choose?
For Italian university: CELI 3 (B2) or CILS 2 (B2). Both accepted by the Italian University System.
For Italian citizenship: CELI 2 (B1), CILS B1 Cittadinanza or PLIDA B1. All three meet the requirements of the Ministry of the Interior.
For the EU long-term residence permit: A2 is enough. CELI Impatto, CILS A2 Integrazione or PLIDA A2 are valid.
For professional use / your CV: Any B2 or C1. PLIDA C1/C2 is preferred in academic settings; CELI in administrative ones.
