FULL IMMERSION WEEK · INDIVIDUAL OR CLOSED GROUP

Full Immersion Week. One intensive week of Italian, renewable.

One week. Monday to Friday. Italian, all day, with people who do this for a living. When you need to move fast, a relocation that starts next month, a negotiation in Italian, a conference, a partner's family you want to meet on their own terms, this is the right format.

Choose between two daily rhythms: the half-day (mornings only) if you want intensity but keep your afternoons free for work or for the city; or the full day (morning and afternoon, with lunch included) when you want to spend the whole working day inside the language. Lunch is with your teacher, in Italian: so the immersion does not stop when the lesson ends.

The week is renewable: you extend it by another week, and another, as far as your calendar (and your energy) will take you. Many of our corporate clients do two consecutive weeks during onboarding, then a follow-up week three months later. Private learners often book a single intensive week before a relocation and renew it after arrival.

Intensive workshop session

How the format works

Two formulas. Half-day: mornings only, Monday to Friday, intensive Italian with one or two teachers taking turns. Full day: morning and afternoon, with lunch included and taken in Italian with your teacher, a real meal, not a sandwich break, and the language never stops. The full-day formula is the one our corporate teams use most: it produces the biggest leap in confidence in five days.
Format. Individual, one-to-one; or in a closed group you bring yourself (your team, your family, your companions, up to 6 people at the same level). Never mixed with strangers: the week is built only around you or your group.
Level. Any level, from absolute beginner (A1) to advanced (C2). We test you in advance with a short video call, so the first day starts exactly at the right level.
Duration. From 1 to 12 consecutive weeks. You book one week, on Friday you decide whether to renew: if the week is going well and the calendar allows it, you can carry on on the spot. Many students do two or three consecutive weeks; executives on long stays have done twelve.

Day one: we measure first, then we build

The first morning is a working session, not a traditional lesson. You sit down with your lead teacher and together you map out: where your Italian is today, where you need it to be by Friday, the situations you need to handle (a board meeting, a contract negotiation, lunch with a partner's family, a conference panel, the arrival of a relocation) and the vocabulary and structures that will really make the difference for you in five days.

From the second session onwards, the rest of the week is built around your answers, not around a fixed programme. This is what sets the Full Immersion Week apart from a generic intensive course: every block of the week earns its place against your goal.

Daily timetable

Both formulas run Monday to Friday. The exact times are confirmed at enrolment based on teacher availability and your preferences.

Half-day · morning. 9:00 - 10:30 first block
10:30 - 10:45 coffee break
10:45 - 12:15 second block
Afternoons free for work, the city or individual study.

Full day · morning, afternoon and lunch. 9:00 - 12:15 morning blocks (with break)
12:30 - 13:30 lunch with your teacher, in Italian (included in the fee)
14:00 - 16:00 afternoon block: conversation, applied vocabulary, role-play on your real work or your everyday life.

What is included

Half-day formula. Lessons (morning, Monday to Friday), level test on the first day, all course materials (paper and digital), end-of-week progress report, attendance certificate with the CEFR level, access to the Academy outside lesson hours (library, common areas, study spaces).

Full-day formula. Everything above, plus: afternoon block (Monday to Friday), lunch with your teacher every day, Monday to Friday, included in the fee, taken at the Academy or in a nearby trattoria chosen by your teacher (always in Italian), and an accompanied afternoon walk through the city in Italian (Wednesday or Thursday, depending on the rhythm of the week).

Not included (we can book it on request): accommodation, transfers, extra excursions, exam fees (CILS / CELI), evening cultural programme.

Residential option - stay on campus, in summer

In summer the campuses free up: anyone taking the Full Immersion Week can stay on campus in Florence (the Padri Scolopi campus, with park and on-site residence) and Mantua (former Archbishop's Seminary).

Room with kitchenette: lessons, meals and accommodation in one place, no commuting, and you stay independent outside lesson hours. Ideal for a corporate team arriving together as a closed group, or for anyone coming from abroad for an intensive week.

We add it to your quote together with the course, on request.

Start dates

The Full Immersion Week starts every Monday of the year, subject to teacher availability. Book at least 10 working days in advance for the smoothest onboarding (level test, teacher matching, lunch booking for the full-day formula).

Do you need to start this Monday? Write to us: we will tell you within a few hours whether we can fit you in.

Who the Full Immersion Week is for

Companies: a senior figure relocating to an Italian office, a leadership team preparing for an Italian counterpart, a project team that needs working Italian before a kickoff. We built this format for engineers, executives, lawyers, doctors, designers and hospitality managers across all four campuses.

Private learners: professionals relocating to Italy for the first time, retirees buying a home in a specific region, partners of Italians who want to talk with their in-laws without needing help, artists and academics with a deadline. If you have a clear goal and a short window, this is the right format.

If your situation is longer-term (months, not weeks), look instead at Standard, Light or Long-term.

Renewal and moving to a longer programme

Many students book one week and then renew it on the spot. If after one or two weeks you want to keep the momentum but move to a more sustainable rhythm, we move you across to Standard or Light with the same team of teachers: same building, same teachers, just a different intensity. Corporate teams often pair an initial Full Immersion Week with a follow-up week three months later, for measurable consolidation.

Where to take the Full Immersion Week

Available in all four campuses. Milan. Academy in the city centre near the Duomo, the natural choice for corporate teams and business immersion. Full Immersion in Milan. Florence. Padri Scolopi campus on Via Bolognese, with grounds and an in-house dining room. Full Immersion in Florence. Mantua. Former Archbishop's Seminary, a UNESCO Renaissance city, the most "English-free" environment of the four. Full Immersion in Mantua. Turin. Modern campus near Parco del Valentino, mature student profile, lower cost of living. Full Immersion in Turin.
