STANDARD · GROUP COURSE

Standard. Group course, 20 academic hours a week.

Ready to learn to speak, read, write and listen like an Italian? There is a class waiting just for you to begin.

We want your stay in Italy to be beautiful. By enrolling in our group course we help you develop the four communicative skills - reading, writing, listening and speaking - so that you express yourself fluently using simple language. We have flexible study programmes designed for every level: you can choose to follow a programme of 20 academic hours a week (Standard) or, if you have less time, just 10 academic hours (Light). Once you have decided on the study programme, we check your level with a test and place you in the most suitable group.

If you choose the STANDARD course: you will be followed by 2 teachers who, besides helping you learn Italian quickly, will help you fill any grammar gaps and explore the most difficult concepts in depth, so as to give you a more solid grasp of the language. With a course of 16 weeks or more you can apply for the visa for Italy.

How the format works

Lessons. Lessons are held from Monday to Friday. Each lesson is made up of 2 academic hours of 45 minutes each, for a total of 90 minutes.

Standard groups are followed by 2 teachers who alternate conversation, grammar deep-dives and the most difficult concepts. (Light groups have 1 teacher.) Classes. Each class is made up of a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 12 students, all at your same language level. Currently active levels: from Beginner (A1) to Advanced (C2). Visa eligibility. With a course of 16 weeks or more, Standard is study-visa eligible. (Same threshold as Light.)

Who Standard is for

Standard is right for you if you have your days free to study (no full-time work during the morning hours) and you want the fastest, most measurable progression, with the greatest number of hours in class. Most of our students from 4 to 24 weeks choose Standard.

If you have work or family commitments that prevent a full-time morning schedule, choose Light - also study-visa eligible, with the same documented weekly commitment, more flexibility and a lower price. Both formats give rise to a valid study-visa application.

How Standard combines with long-term programming

Standard is the engine of our long-term programmes. A 3-month long-term programme is essentially Standard carried on for 12 weeks; a 12-month programme is Standard spread over an academic year, with level progression and CILS preparation built in.
