We want you to learn the Italian you really need, whether that is chatting with friends over a coffee, leading a work meeting or preparing for a university entrance test. If that is what you are looking for, our private one-to-one lessons are perfect. You choose between general Italian, full immersion or a thematic track. A dedicated tutor agrees the start date and the calendar with you, and we run a level test to establish the starting point. And the best part? You can decide to come on your own, or to bring along a small group of friends.
How private lessons work
Course. A dedicated tutor teaches you the Italian that takes you to your goals. You choose whether to deepen general Italian or specialise in a sector. Among the thematic tracks you will also find those designed to prepare you for the entrance tests of Italian universities (for example Bocconi, Politecnico). Thematic tracks require a minimum B1 level. Full Immersion is also available, to learn Italian in the shortest possible time. Classes. You can choose one-to-one with your teacher, or organize yourselves together with some friends (up to a maximum of 4 students). If you come with friends, make sure you are all at the same language level. Active levels: from Beginner (A1) to Advanced (C2). Lessons. Each lesson lasts 90 minutes. You can also choose to attend the lessons online. Schedule. The lesson schedule is agreed directly with your tutor and can be changed with 24 hours' notice. You decide when to start, together with your tutor.

Private lessons are flexible and adapt over time. As you progress, your tutor continuously assesses your development and adapts the work plan to keep it relevant and stimulating. Whether you need to focus on conversation, on exam preparation, on university test preparation, on the professional vocabulary of your field or on any other area, the lessons will be personalised to help you reach your goals efficiently and effectively.

Two ready packages - General Italian (everyday communication) or Thematic for individuals: Law, Medicine, Architecture, Fashion, Design, Cuisine, Opera, Jewellery, Art, plus university test preparation (Bocconi, Politecnico, Statale, Sapienza and others). Same format - 5 lessons of 90 minutes each.

Who private lessons are for
Private one-to-one is for you if you want maximum scheduling flexibility, if you want to focus exclusively on what you need (your work, your exam, your area), or if you want to learn Italian together with a small group of friends or colleagues at the same level. It is also suited to those who travel often, have work calendars that change constantly or prefer remote lessons online.
If you prefer to learn in a group, with a fixed weekly schedule and a lower hourly cost, look at our Standard or Light formats, both visa eligible.
Important - private is NOT visa eligible
Private one-to-one lessons do not meet the documentation requirements for the Italian study visa, because the format does not guarantee the minimum of continuous classroom hours required by consulates. If you need a study visa, choose Long-term, Standard (16+ weeks) or Light (16+ weeks). We are happy to explain the visa options to you first.
